When you control the mail, you control… information

The verdict is in for Apex mailman Steven Padgett, accused of failing to deliver junk mail, circulars, and other second and third class mail: he’ll serve three years probation, pay a $3000 fine, and perform 500 hours of community service.

Padgett didn’t withhold the mail maliciously — his lawyer says he simply couldn’t keep up with the rigors of the route, so he delivered the first class mail and buried the rest in his backyard. We’re pretty sure that was an episode of Seinfeld, when Newman kept the mail in his subletted half of Jerry’s storage unit.

…Newman!

I would pay my mailman $3000 to stop delivering all the junk mail I get thanks to my unnamed university selling my information to the highest bidders.
