People scoff when I tell them that Raleigh is the greatest city in the world. Well the folks over at Raleigh Philosophical Society are on my side. It seems as though businesses are still bringing in the customers and people are falling all over themselves to live in one of the many condos that have sprung up all over downtown.
If this is Raleigh when times are bad, just wait until things get to going well again for the rest of the country. Not only will Raleigh be booming, but people will stop smiling and nodding at you during one of our warm November afternoons and start bursting into spontaneous-yet-fully-choreographed song and dance song about how wonderful it is to be a citizen of Raleigh, NC. Just you wait.
